Relax a Little
In this year of 2019 women are out here making moves! We are working hard, getting educated, starting businesses, raising families, and just being all around rock stars. The grind is impressive, but it can also become addictive. If you’re like me, you pour so much into your job, family, friends, etc. and sometimes forget to fill your own cup. This blog comes as a gentle reminder to just relax a little!
Self-care comes in many forms: getting a massage, journaling, a mani-pedi, therapy, even simply taking a nap. There’s no right or wrong way to do it. Just honor yourself, your mind, your body and do what you need in the moment. It doesn’t have to be super fancy or enlightening – just try to unwind.
If I’m being honest my mani-pedi’s have become more of a chore than a pleasure, because of my schedule it just feels like one more thing I have to do. So you’ve probably guessed, I prefer to relax by doing little to nothing at all. My perfect self-care day is spent at home in some comfy pajamas binge-watching my favorite shows or reading a book. Nothing too heavy – typically something I’ve watched or read before that I know brings me joy, like a few episodes of The Golden Girls or getting into the drama at Hogwarts.
